What to Expect

A realistic picture of the one-day virtual experience.

Pre-Course Online Modules

Required online learning modules must be completed before your class date. These cover foundational concepts so live class time focuses on application, scenarios, and skills.

Live Zoom Instruction

Both the Challenge and Renewal courses run 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET via Zoom. Cameras on, active participation expected. Expert instructors use case-based scenarios and real-time discussion throughout.

TNP Scenarios & Skills Testing

Trauma Nursing Process (TNP) practice scenarios walk through systematic trauma assessment. You'll demonstrate competency in the primary and secondary survey and skills stations.

Written Examination

Both the Challenge and Renewal courses use an open-book online exam completed within 7 days of class. A passing score is required to earn or renew TNCC verification.

Verification

Successful completers receive an ENA-issued TNCC verification valid for 4 years. Leave with reinforced trauma assessment skills, updated clinical knowledge, and continued TNCC verification eligibility.

Note: TNCC is a challenge/renewal-level course. It does not replace hospital-specific trauma orientation or ATLS. Contact your nurse educator to confirm TNCC meets your facility's credentialing requirements.
